We’re Horse People Too

Hello from us

At Full Circle Equine, we believe exceptional veterinary care begins with relationships, with horses, their people, and the teams who support them.

We are an ambulatory equine veterinary practice serving southern Ontario, founded by three veterinary colleagues and friends: Dr. Tovah Caldwell, Dr. Samantha Molson, and Dr. Marisa Markey. After practicing together for years, we came to appreciate how well our different strengths, interests, and approaches complemented one another. Full Circle Equine was created from that shared vision: to build a practice where collaboration, personalized care, and a genuine commitment to our clients and their horses are at the centre of everything we do.

We truly believe that our team is stronger together. One day, you may call on one of us for a lameness evaluation or performance consultation, while another may be the right fit for an on farm surgery, dental procedure, or preventative care appointment. By working together and drawing on each veterinarian’s unique expertise, we are able to provide thoughtful and comprehensive care tailored to each individual horse.

Our goal is to support you and your horse wherever your journey takes you, whether that means enjoying a long, healthy life in the field, competing at the highest levels of sport, or anything in between. Every horse has different needs, and every horse-human partnership has different goals. We are here to listen, collaborate, and help you achieve them.

We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our team, our approach to care, and the services we offer. We look forward to getting to know you and your horse.

The Joy of Veterinary Medicine

“ While you’re here, we want to talk about the profession that we love. Veterinary medicine is in crisis, especially large animal and equine medicine. Fewer and fewer students are choosing equine and large animal, and even fewer stay in this field for more than 5 years after veterinary school. In building this clinic, one of our goals is to build a practice that we can work in for our whole career, and model that to other veterinarians.

There are so many innovative ways that equine vets are making changes for the better within their profession. We are excited to implement some of those new strategies to help us keep the joy in our careers. We have all been doing this for a long time now and the one thing that we know for sure is that there will always be ups, downs, coffee, cookies, and chocolate. We hope that if you come on this ride with us that you’re ready for all of that and more. Horses don’t follow the textbook, after all.”
